This is mainly to share the interview experience.

I applied for this position on 104, and a few days later I received a phone call. I was busy outside at the time and missed the call, so I paused what I was doing and called back to find out which company it was.

I initially explained that I had missed the call. After confirming this, the HR representative asked about my application. I originally thought she would arrange an interview time, but unexpectedly, she started asking basic questions (a background check).

After asking a series of questions, when it came to my mobile phone plan, my tone began to sound anxious. Then, without warning and in a mechanical tone, the HR representative said, “Please introduce yourself in English.” Since I was concerned about the phone charges and had not prepared, I said that I was somewhat busy outdoors and asked whether I could call back later. However, she politely declined, saying, “Then I’ll first provide your TOEIC score, which you mentioned earlier, to the supervisor for reference.”

Afterward, I wrote an email explaining that the circumstances at the time were not convenient for a phone interview and asking whether I should arrange another time with the company to take the call. She replied, “That’s all right. If you have anything to add, you can call again tomorrow morning.”

Hmm... The missed-call situation itself wasn’t really a problem. The problem is, how can such a large company be so stingy that it even saves on phone charges?.
