The reception desk staff and the interviewing manager were both very friendly.
Low pay, and the work location was unclear. I applied for a finance and accounting manager position and was told that the job would involve being assigned to a country in Europe or the United States. The salary in Taiwan was low and there was no title, with the explanation that it would be adjusted to a relatively appropriate salary after arriving locally. They also did not say which country the assignment would be in. At first, it sounded as though I had been verbally offered the job, but the next day the chairman rejected me on the grounds that I did not have U.S. status. This is a very absurd company. The job advertisement did not mention at all that applicants needed to have U.S. status. They have been advertising for years to recruit finance and accounting personnel for overseas assignments.
