I was laid off after working only a few days, so my understanding is limited.
Basically, they followed the Labor Standards Act.
Severance pay was provided, as well as a certificate of involuntary separation.
The colleagues were friendly.
Personal experience:
1. The department manager and a certain senior employee tended to misunderstand questions, so time was spent communicating instead of getting straight to the core issue.
2. If you asked too many questions, the department manager would take notice...
3. During training, the instructions given by different people actually conflicted and were inconsistent...
4. Before I had even had any practical exposure to the work, my abilities were judged insufficient, and I was told I could start packing up...(What was the basis for this assessment...?)
