1. The boss has very poor emotional intelligence. He is nearly 70 years old and often fails to explain things clearly. He prefers to give verbal instructions and does not reply to emails, only later claiming that you failed to do something or did it incorrectly. The problem is that there is no reference material, and no one clearly understands what he is talking about. He assumes everyone understands him, then lashes out at people.
2. Delayed salary payments. Salaries have been paid late or not paid at all for several consecutive months. Former employees have sent formal legal notices to the company complaining about delayed wage payments. The company’s finances are unstable, and it owes payments to vendors everywhere.
3. The company’s computer systems are outdated, and data storage is incomplete. The computer software is old, the computers run very slowly, and they frequently crash.
4. High employee turnover. Because the company withholds salaries, many employees have gradually resigned. Since the company has difficulty recruiting, it is now recruiting under the name Chuan Fu Materials.
5. The company prefers paper-based work. The boss likes everyone to handwrite records of customer interactions and does not like using computers to store data files. As a result, the company has an enormous amount of paper documentation. Every time information is needed, people have to rummage through boxes and cabinets. Most importantly, everything is stored haphazardly without categorization, and much of the information has gone missing. The boss relies on his memory to describe each customer’s situation, so none of it can really be verified. Even more absurdly, the information stored on the computers is not necessarily accurate either. Because employee turnover is high, there is virtually no handover, and the data is also stored haphazardly. The people who take over afterward can only be pitied—they have to clean up the mess.
