1. Cats to play with
2. Overseas employee trip every year
The position involves working as a design assistant. Since I didn’t have much experience, I started as an assistant, and they asked about my willingness to do so during the interview.
If you really like design, have high standards for your own work, or hope to have a boss who genuinely understands design, this company may be worth considering.
From what I observed, the company focuses on commercial design. There are opportunities to work on all kinds of designs. The projects are stable, with clients ranging from large, well-known companies to ordinary brands and businesses. There are also opportunities to work on printing-related projects here.
The design department’s bookcase contains many portfolios from overseas, and new ones are purchased every year for everyone to look at. If you run out of inspiration halfway through a project, you can flip through the books.
The work here is purely design-related; you won’t be asked to do miscellaneous errands, so you have room to make use of your strengths.
However, the excessive overtime is indeed a daily occurrence. It is often the designers who stay behind, and there is no overtime pay.
The boss’s wife places great emphasis on details and aesthetics. Finalized work must be completed quickly—ideally, quickly and accurately.
Warning ⚠
If you don’t have strong passion and ability, it’s best not to try working here.
There is a high turnover rate here. From the company’s perspective, whenever they are short-staffed, they can simply find someone else. Please think carefully!
