Unlimited milk from the refrigerator, a lunch restaurant with a buffer, and Sheraton catering on Thursdays and Fridays. No need to clock in or out, and the colleagues are quite nice.
There is no set lunch break. The supervisor says you can take a break once you have finished your work, as long as it does not exceed one hour. Almost everyone returns to their workstation to continue working after taking less than an hour, so there is no real guarantee of break time.
Before you have even been employed for a week, you may be required to travel to southern Taiwan for work. Almost everything A-Ko Human Resources said during the interview was basically just bluffing—for example, that business trips would only be in Taipei and would not involve central or southern Taiwan, and that overtime would be paid (if your department supervisor does not report it, you will not receive a single penny).
The company's internal documents are all shared Google Forms, which is quite chaotic. Learning can be rather difficult, since there are only a few people in each department and there is no new-hire training. New employees are expected to start working within a week (though this depends on the department).
Almost all of the company's internal employees are dispatched workers, with very few regular employees. Your supervisor may have worked there for two or three years and still not be a regular employee. Apparently, only the managers and sales staff are regular employees, so there are no bonuses for the three major holidays and no year-end bonus. Anyone considering joining should think carefully.
