The environment is clean!
When applying for a long-term part-time position (packing cookies), they will lower the pay to $135 per hour, even though the hourly wage listed on the employment website is $150. If you cannot accept this, tell them directly.
(They will say that business is difficult these days and that everyone should be understanding.)
I worked for five days, and they said that they do not pay wages if you work fewer than seven days. In other words, I worked five days for free. When I resigned that day, they still would not let me leave, and I only found out that there was no pay when it was time to get off work. Perhaps they do not pay wages if you work for less than a month either (this is my personal guess).
After starting work, they will ask you to sign a work contract after your first day. Its contents have nothing to do with the actual job. (The contract you sign is for learning baking; it says that you will attend baking classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but in fact, you are doing work for them.) At the time, I thought this contract was because they were not paying the legally required minimum hourly wage of $150, so I signed it.
After you start working, they will ask for a photocopy of your ID card and two headshots.
I hope no one else has to work for free!
