Colleagues are easy to get along with
Long working hours, and although overtime pay is visible, it cannot actually be obtained (supervisors will demand that employees underreport overtime and alter time-clock records). Without connections, promotion is impossible. Salaries are not particularly high, and there is no salary adjustment system; raises are decided according to the supervisor’s mood (better work hard at currying favor). The company owner places great importance on seniority. One supervisor looks down on young people but is especially good at exploiting them. Occasionally, when I am unable to work overtime due to other commitments, one supervisor threatens to fire me for not working overtime. One supervisor gives all kinds of unreasonable instructions; if you do not comply, you will be threatened with dismissal. It is especially difficult to take personal leave, and every leave request is made unnecessarily difficult.
