There is no supervisor constantly breathing down your neck.
There is no responsibility-based requirement to finish everything before you can leave.
You can go outside to smoke or take a break at any time.
The boss is proud of practicing American-style management, but in reality has no concept of management at all. Issues with accounts are left to the production-line supervisor, while production-line matters are assigned to the business supervisor. The boss’s son, who is expected to take over in the future, has a sycophantic hanger-on who throws his weight around. Despite having the shortest tenure, this person speaks rudely and carelessly to others simply because of their close relationship with the boss’s son, especially toward newcomers. I’m not someone without self-respect either. Although this company works downstream in the semiconductor industry, it merely uses a scouring pad or eraser to clean off fine grime. This company is truly cause for concern.
