This company seems to be responsible for fairly large clients, so it probably does not do business with small and medium-sized enterprises.

When I interviewed for the systems engineer position in September, the person responsible for the interview said that I should write him an email if I was sure I could start working. I did write to the interviewer, saying that I could start in early October.

However, when I went to start at the beginning of this month, their HR asked me to go to the Chief Technology Officer's office. The CTO frankly admitted that the supervisor who interviewed me had not gone through the HR process, so HR and accounting did not have my information and could not complete the onboarding procedures. They asked me to go home and wait for further news; the news was that my application was still under evaluation.

The whole situation was rather unbelievable: from a verbal confirmation that I had an offer, to an internal administrative error at the time of onboarding, and then to the status changing to "under evaluation."

With this company, you absolutely must make sure you have seen their offer in writing before considering it confirmed.
