Applied through a job website and received a notification for an interview about 1–2 days later.

The Taipei office environment is quite new, since it was also only moved there a few years ago.

The résumé response was quick, but no contact information was provided, and I received no reply when I followed up by email.

The first stage was a group interview in a large conference room. It started with watching a company introduction video, followed by one-minute self-introductions in turn, a small group game, and a final discussion. Before it ended, HR asked whether anyone was in a hurry and needed to leave early; otherwise, we would proceed to the next stage. HR also said that if they still had not contacted you by lunchtime, you could go ahead and have lunch. Then they sent everyone out. I waited and waited for two hours, and ran into another woman who was also interviewing. She said she had gone upstairs to ask the reception desk and was told that the morning interviews were already over. I later went upstairs to ask as well and received the same answer.

During the wait, I did see a few people go upstairs. Thinking about it afterward, I suspect the group that completed the game was called back for the second-stage interview.

I also saw many online complaints about the HR staff’s attitude. I think HR should provide a time window—for example, state that if they have not contacted you by a certain time, the process is over—so people are not left waiting around for so long!
