Pros

Absolutely none.

Cons

The seniority system is really extreme. When I first joined, I didn't want to continue after just a few months. I was extremely unlucky and happened to work under someone with connections—the boss's good friend, the tall one with white hair. Not long after I joined, I heard from others that his reputation was already not very good. Anyone planning to work here should be careful around him and avoid offending him. As for salary and benefits, to be frank, the overall situation really isn't very good; the items only look good on paper. The working environment is truly poor, with absolutely no consideration for employees. I heard that people have suffered heatstroke and burns. The promotion system is really strange. There are only employees, then store managers, then supervisors. I wouldn't develop my career at this company. Whether you work as a store manager for one year or ten years, it's all the same. There was only one supervisor when I worked there, and he had been a supervisor for more than ten years. In the end, the boss gave him another title, manager, but he only made 40,000, and sometimes didn't even receive that. With more than ten years of experience, having a strange salary and only being at manager level is bizarre. I never interacted with the boss because I worked there for only a few months, but I heard what senior employees and former employees thought of him—and none of their evaluations were positive. One said he was a notorious exploitative boss; there was also talk of communist-style thinking, squeezing employees for salary deductions to make up for performance, manipulating people's feelings, being hypocritical, pretending to be benevolent, making empty promises, being overly calculating and stingy, and similar things. He would talk about the company's future direction and act as if he was helping you or treating you like family or a brother, while playing with employees' feelings. Anyway, there is much more that I have forgotten. Too many people complained. Luckily, I never knew or met this boss; otherwise, I might have ended up like them. My advice to anyone planning to work here is that you should really treat it only as a stepping-stone job. Also, don't place too much importance on the performance bonuses. Considering the overall ratio of salary to workload and hours, the bonuses don't make much difference. One long-term employee once told me that when working at Suan Fan Tian, you shouldn't care too much about the salary, or you'll find the job very painful. He didn't even look at his monthly pay; he just threw it away. It's outrageous that the boss treats subordinates this way. New employees aside, so many long-term employees are treated this way too. Anyone planning to work here should think twice.
