智擎數位科技股份有限公司
Pros

The company’s courses are designed entirely by the professional directors and deputy directors of the teaching centers, along with the leaders of each specialized teaching team. The digital teaching materials are also produced by professional editors, so please do not insult the professionalism and dedication of colleagues who work seriously.

I have never wanted to prove anything; there is no need to, nor is it necessary. Entrepreneurship has taught me to take responsibility—to bear customers’ demands as well as the salaries of nearly 200 colleagues every month. You who only know how to criticize others: can you bear that responsibility? No, you only think about yourself.

I started this business simply to provide a stage for employees and people who want to work, allowing those who seek time freedom or financial freedom to get what they need, and also trying to provide learners with more choices. These choices were not imagined out of thin air by me; almost all of them were carefully discussed, planned, and designed by the teachers. It is fine if you do not know the details, but do not make irresponsible remarks. You have only heard me say a few things, yet you immediately started making up stories and telling tales. Do you understand me that well? I do not think I have ever had any dealings with you in my life, have I? Perhaps I do not even remember your name.

You were unhappy here, but that does not mean everyone else is the same as you. To assume that you understand me—would that not be rather presumptuous? Are you and I very familiar with each other? Especially those former editors who did not have to come to the company to work: you spoke fewer than a few times a year, and your work was handled by the editor-in-chief. You edited the teaching materials, so whether they were professional or not should be something you ask yourselves. Be careful not to hit yourselves in the face.

Former employees who hide online like this only dared to perfunctorily pretend to cooperate and claim they had no objections while employed, then privately gossiped and damaged the company’s reputation—during that time, did you continue receiving your monthly company salary? Those were the conditions from the beginning; by coming here, you indicated that you accepted them. After working for a while, you felt you were receiving too little—is that not going too far?

The company’s café-like environment is for colleagues to eat, rest, train, and hold activities. Even that has to be used as something to talk about? If you have a psychological problem, see a doctor.

The company does not provide annual performance bonuses to people who work from home because that is fair to those who need to come to the company and clock in every day. This is clearly explained during interviews. If you want to receive a year-end bonus, come in and clock in and out every day like everyone else, rather than possibly still lying in bed asleep while others are rushing to work, and then expecting to receive a year-end bonus as well.

Marketing, IT, and Design Departments: Monday to Thursday, 10:00–18:00 (1-hour lunch break); Friday, 10:00–16:00.

Administration Department: Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 (1-hour lunch break), plus one day of scheduled leave each month.

Teaching Center:

Academic Affairs Staff: Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 / 14:00–22:00 (1-hour meal break).

Full-time classroom teachers: Work from home and teach 90–95 hours per month; use the remaining time for lesson preparation, with teaching materials provided by the team leader. Teachers receive one scheduled day off each month, must come to the office one day per week to discuss or review courses with the team leader, and must attend one teaching evaluation meeting each month. After completing one year of service, employees with normal or excellent performance may enjoy 10–20 days of paid leave the following year.

Editorial Department: Work from home and come to the teaching center one day per week for teaching-material discussions.

Sales Department: Daily, 13:30–22:00 (1.5-hour meal break).

Anyone who is sensitive will know after doing the math that the vast majority of the company’s personnel work only seven hours a day, and that the company also does not like colleagues working overtime. Those who are really curious about the company’s working hours can come to the company themselves and see what the facts are.

The company’s salary levels follow market rates completely, and some positions even offer more. Salary is confirmed during the interview: if you can accept it, take the job; if you cannot, do not take it. What exactly are you complaining about afterward?

Everything was explained and agreed upon during the initial interview. Did someone force you to come to work here?

The conflict between labor and management in Taiwan is so serious because some unscrupulous people deliberately create confrontation and division. While employed, they did not dare express a single opinion; after resigning, they only dared anonymously to throw dirt and excrement at their former company. Unable to do the work themselves, they blame the company. The company’s products have only slowly added some features and undergone optimization from more than ten years ago to the present—when exactly did they keep changing completely? Major revisions occur at most once every two or three years. Nonsense.

All course planning and design are also done by professional teacher-editors. Over the past eleven years, dozens of university language centers have adopted our platform. These matters must be reviewed and approved by department heads and professors at the universities. Do you think you can slander us based on just a few words?

The content of the physical magazine is entirely produced by Chinese-language editors, approaching it from the perspective of general education and positive issues of social concern. When we have received praise from many respected members of society, do you think it is bad simply because you cannot understand it or because it was not edited according to your wishes? Do you think it has to be like the magazines from LiveABC, Studio Classroom, or Air English for Young Learners before it can be called an English-learning magazine? Please understand that our target customers are working adults aged 25–50, okay?

The company has now become Taiwan’s second-largest online education company, behind only tutorabc, and has achieved profitable growth of 25% per year for four consecutive years. Whether the company is making money is not something these few self-righteous former employees would know.

If you want to offer an opinion, have the courage to use your real name and face it. I will also let everyone know your actual work performance while you were employed. Hiding in the dark to curse and insult others is simply the behavior of a petty person. If you dare criticize others, do not be afraid of being challenged or of facing the responsibilities that are yours.
