Pros

1. Most colleagues are easy to get along with, and the office atmosphere is very good (although it depends on the department).

2. In all fairness, the interview experience was good. They did not make things difficult for applicants or give them attitude.

3. There is not much competitive pressure, so it is suitable for taking things easy.

Cons

1. Environment:

After the company expanded, all employees collectively moved to a newly rented office space. Besides having no air conditioning, poor ventilation, and dim lighting, the ceiling also leaks water onto people; the floor is not solid, and whenever someone walks by, it feels like an earthquake.

The boss has contractors come in to carry out construction during working hours. The strong paint fumes, welding sparks flying everywhere, and the noise and dust from drilling and hammering the walls accompany everyone through a tedious workday.

The entire building has only one entrance and exit, and the emergency escape facilities do not comply with fire safety regulations. There are no protective measures whatsoever at the construction site, so workplace safety is naturally not guaranteed at all.

2. Working hours:

Except for one department, the working hours of all other departments exceed the limits stipulated by the Labor Standards Act. Overtime pay is not paid in accordance with the Labor Standards Act, and they will even “forget to approve it,” resulting in employees receiving it a month late.

3. Job content:

It is called an advertising company, but the proposals are actually quite ridiculous. Newcomers cannot learn anything or make any progress here. No matter what kind of campaign you come up with, the boss will revise it beyond recognition.

Most clients are long-term clients because the company rarely wins pitches. Even when it occasionally lands a good new client, it gets the contract terminated after angering the client by doing a terrible job. The other regular clients are of poor quality. They know nothing about advertising or marketing but love pretending they do, and are typical habitual clients.

4. Work situation:

The division of labor is severely uneven. Within the same department, some people earn high salaries while only being responsible for one client, while others have to handle everything despite being paid extremely little.

The boss and supervisors love calling everyone into meetings, but there are never any concrete conclusions. They have many opinions but always say nothing substantive, comparable to the mayor of a certain city in southern Taiwan.

When employees favored by the boss make mistakes, it is the fault of other colleagues for not helping; when ordinary employees make mistakes, it means they have a capability problem.

Employee turnover is extremely high, and projects cannot be carried out properly. Apart from supervisors, anyone who has been there for a year is considered a senior employee; most newcomers cannot even last three months.

Overall, this is a company in rapid decline. It is very comfortable inside and suitable for frogs in a well or people who want to take things easy, but it offers almost no benefits to fresh graduates. You will neither build a portfolio nor learn anything, and will also be assimilated, so it is not suitable for staying long-term.
