Pros

Customer service for the Yahoo Super Mall project (employed for over two years)

- The workplace is in Nangang. The company provides breakfast, lunch, snacks (dried fruit), and beverages (milk and Coke) on weekdays.

- You can hone your 3Q indicators, especially EQ (emotional quotient) and AQ (adversity quotient).

- Performance bonuses range from 0 to 7,000; only one person can receive the 7,000 bonus, and you have to compete for it with second-line customer service staff who handle customer complaints.

- Most coworkers are young women, but they are leaving quickly too.

- Occasionally, drinks are delivered to the office. This is a good workplace for people who like beverages because the supervisors often organize group orders.

Cons

- First of all, there are two projects (Shopping Center/Super Mall), and you will not know which project you will be assigned to during the interview. Both projects are equally bad, but if you insist on comparing them, the Shopping Center is definitely worse.

- The mall supervisors always let certain employees take last-minute leave, causing other employees to help absorb the absent employees’ workload that day.

Oh! Taking leave at most only means losing the performance bonus, so it has little to no impact.

- Every Thursday, you have to stay after work to attend a meeting. Previously, when we told the supervisor that there should be overtime pay for meetings, the supervisor replied, “We also use our own time to prepare these materials for you, and we don’t get overtime pay either.” It was truly eye-roll-inducing. Only after the company sent out a questionnaire did overtime pay become available. By the way, overtime pay does exist now, but each meeting lasts over half an hour and sometimes nearly an hour, while only 0.5 hours of overtime pay is provided. I wonder whether they are more generous now and provide one full hour.

- The satisfaction system is truly a terrible mechanism. If the satisfaction score is not high enough, you will be summoned to explain why and forced to write a report. Even if the customer is dissatisfied with the store rather than the customer service, it still counts as a failing satisfaction score. A failing satisfaction score means you cannot receive the performance bonus. When this was reported, the only response from management was, “Everyone encounters this kind of situation.”

- Customer service staff turnover on this project is very fast. It looks good on the outside but is rotten on the inside, especially because internal cohesion is very poor. In particular, the supervisor’s attitude changes drastically toward employees who are about to resign. When there were many cases to handle, that supervisor’s attitude was not like this. They are truly extremely practical.

- You often cannot get the lunchbox you want; usually, you end up with ones nobody picked or less popular options.

- They try to create an American-style multinational-company work atmosphere by holding some boring activities, but unfortunately it feels nothing like it. They also force people to participate. Those who do not want to participate cannot say so openly and can only force themselves to lie.
