There are a lot of rules inside. If they’re short-staffed, you often have to work overtime, exceeding the hours permitted under labor laws. I worked one to two weeks without a day off. The person directing the lifting operations complains a lot—clearly because they didn’t give the hand signals properly—and doesn’t understand that the crane operator has blind spots, since the control room cannot be moved and some areas cannot be seen.
