Applied for a technical customer service/assistant engineer position.
The job posting stated that it was a day shift,
but in fact, it involved working three rotating shifts.
The salary range listed in the posting was also the salary for three-shift work.
The job duties were also more focused on customer service
and had little to do with being an assistant engineer.
I felt that there was a discrepancy between the job description and the actual position.
During the interview, the supervisor’s
questions were almost entirely focused on investigating my personal background,
asking who was in my family, what my boyfriend did for work, and even which company my boyfriend worked for, among other questions of this kind.
