When I first interviewed for the position of regional supervisor for the northern area, the manager went on at length about how the company had now been taken over by the second generation of owners, so many things were gradually changing. I hadn’t even started working for your company yet—how would I know what things had been like before? They also said that our bonuses were very good, that they held competitions, and that the benefits were excellent, among other things. They also said there would be a second interview. When I went back for the second interview, they sent some random person to tell me that, since I had no footwear experience, I would first have to work as a store clerk. They also said that the store clerk base salary was NT$25,000 and that it was a very good salary, and that I could slowly work my way up to store manager and then regional supervisor. I almost swore at them on the spot: “You can slowly earn that NT$25,000 yourself. I applied to be a regional supervisor, not for a NT$25,000 job of yours.” I have nearly twenty years of work experience. I could find a NT$25,000 job anywhere—why would I look for a job at your company? An utterly ridiculous, terrible company.
