Pros

Your supervisor loves you; you can coast every day. Third-grade engineers are treated like gods.

Cons

1. Senior employees bully newcomers.

2. The production line will run you into the ground. The production-line supervisor sits around every day without seeming to know what to do. The supervisor lacks the ability to manage and cannot lead the line.

The capabilities of the supervisors in every department are “0”; they work subjectively.

3. The quality is extraordinarily terrible. They only care about output, and quality data is falsified.

4. Senior employees are treated like gods. You cannot say anything even when they do something wrong; bad tasks are passed to junior employees, and mistakes are shifted onto others.

5. Under the duty roster system, no leave is allowed unless you are a senior employee.

6. All the capable people have resigned. The gap is huge between those with nine years of experience and those with one year.

7. They find ways to make you submit your own resignation.

8. Talent is not valued. The boss has money, so they can simply hire more people.

9. Recently, they only favor people with master’s degrees or above, and bootlickers are also highly valued.

10. There are many people on the production line who rest on their seniority, deaf and mute people, foreign workers who do not speak English, and foreign workers who come to Taiwan to study and only come in three days a week.

11. Equipment maintenance is done carelessly or not done at all.

12. There is no genuine quality self-management; a bunch of things are fabricated.

13. The production-line SOPs are handled carelessly, and the data is also handled carelessly.

14. The production line carelessly keeps making defective products all the way through to packaging, and the supervisor may ask you to take responsibility so they can be shipped.

15. The production line is never at fault.

16. The process engineering department is treated as disposable, forced to take the blame for the production line, and has no standing.

17. There are many malicious people in the company and on the production line.

There is too much to list… it’s terrifying.

After I took parental leave, the company forced me to resign. I was therefore asked to leave, and the reason given was laughable (because I did not answer the phone). The reason on the resignation form was: “Unable to be promoted!” I was handling an abnormality when my supervisor called and yelled at me; because I did not answer immediately, they told me to get lost. .....
