Pay is made on time every month, but when there is a holiday, payment is only postponed and never made earlier, regardless of how many days the holiday lasts.
Six days off per month. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with an extra half hour every day that is not paid as overtime. Overtime only starts being counted from 7:00 p.m. Sick leave is unpaid, and personal leave is deducted at 1.5 times the regular pay. Being one minute late results in a NT$10 deduction; after accumulating two hours, the deduction is NT$20 per minute, and after three hours, NT$30 per minute. During the summer, there are only four days off per month. Two days’ worth of overtime pay is not paid monthly but is instead mixed into the year-end bonus and paid at the end of the year. On the surface, the company’s systems appear complete, but in essence it is still a family-run business.
