1. Pay attention to whether you are applying to Chuan Hu or the Chuan Yi plant. Chuan Yi is a subsidiary of Chuan Hu, located in the Lukang Coastal Industrial Park—it's the one shown in the cover photo of Tie Zhi Bank.

2. Regardless of which plant you apply to, the interview and onboarding are both held at Chuan Yi. If you are applying for a position at the Chuan Hu plant…… Chuan Hu is in an old industrial park. On rainy days, the area outside the company floods like a river, and the company is somewhat rundown as well.

3. The benefits are ordinary. The three major holiday bonuses are only NT$1,000–2,000, paid in cash or as vouchers for nearby supermarkets. Occasionally, they distribute some snacks left over from religious offerings.

4. Overtime hours are only tallied at the end of the year, when the overtime pay is given to you. “Apparently, overtime pay has been issued during the past 2–3 years,” and it is paid together with the year-end bonus (probably)……… Think carefully about what this implies.

5. The work is not particularly easy, and the company seems quite calculating with its employees. The salary includes a perfect-attendance bonus, divided into two half-year periods; if you are absent for one day, you lose the entire attendance bonus.

The prizes in the year-end banquet raffle are allocated according to seniority—the longer your tenure, the better the raffle prizes.
