HR proactively contacted me to arrange the phone interview, and their attitude was also very good.
The skills listed in the JD did not match what was asked during the interview. The JD focused on programming-related skills, but the manager was actually looking for someone familiar with hardware, which wasted both parties’ time. During the phone interview, the manager seemed to have a list of questions and standard answers. Even when a question had multiple possible solutions, the manager would only accept the one they had in mind and completely refused to listen to the interviewee’s explanations or other approaches. In addition, when the interviewee asked for clarification on some ambiguously worded questions, the request was also rejected. This was very disrespectful to the interviewee.
