Cons

There are many drawbacks, so I’ll explain them one by one. (I applied for the sales assistant position.)

1. The factory and office are next door to each other, so the working environment is noisy... The office also vibrates from time to time (meaning that having earthquakes in the office every day has become the norm...).

2. The office environment is ordinary, but here’s the problem... The manager smokes (in his own small office), and he never closes the door when going in and out, so the smell of smoke drifts out... In addition, incense is also burned in the office... so there will be the smell of incense. If you are very particular about your working environment, you will also have to do cleaning, including cleaning the toilets (employees take turns with the factory workers, and you will be assigned about once every three months). I strongly advise against working at this company. If you do resign, please make sure to help report it afterward.

3. This company does not really have a position called “sales assistant.” Sales assistant = sales support (you have to know how to do everything). There is a lot to learn and understand. Of course, you also have to attend meetings (some people have resigned because of the heavy workload), but basically it is an entirely internal office job (I think...?). This company is in an obscure traditional industry, but it still makes quite a lot of money. The starting salary is approximately NT$28,000–29,000 (including everything); working hours are 8:00–17:00 (clock-in system). You can bring your own lunch (there is a rice cooker, microwave, and refrigerator) or order through the company.

4. If you join this company, it is best to be self-reliant and know how to do everything. There is a woman in her fifties whose name starts with S who is not very friendly toward others, so it is best to have experience. She is also very bad at teaching people, so you should take the initiative to ask and learn (but you will be criticized for it).

5. When resigning, I strongly recommend not giving advance notice (I thought giving advance notice was a sign of respect). The owner’s wife will deduct several hours’ worth of pay and ask you to leave early.
