Cons

I had to wait for a while for the previous candidate to finish their interview.

The HR representative sat down and interviewed me as if they had never seen my résumé.

They may have already decided to hire the previous candidate.

I was completely called in as cannon fodder.

Everything I said was shot down.

They kept repeatedly telling me:

“You know this is different from the type of work you did before.

Are you sure you can do it? Are you sure you want to do it?”

They kept asking this question over and over.

“Joining our company with the attitude of just wanting to give it a try won’t work.

You need to be truly determined.”

Even after I said I could do it and genuinely wanted the job, I was still completely torn apart.

If they were really that dissatisfied with me, they should have simply thanked me and said they would be in touch.

The interview process was extremely disrespectful to the interviewee.

They clearly had no intention of letting me answer or speak properly.

At the end, they asked whether I had any questions.

After I finished asking them, they said sarcastically,

“Wow—why do you care so much [about the questions you asked]?”

Then they went on talking about themselves for a long time before asking me again whether I had any questions.

Of course I didn’t have any questions.

Throughout the interview, I tried my best to keep smiling and respond to what she said.

By the end, I could barely smile anymore.

I said I had no other questions for now,

but she responded, “Huh? That’s it?”

I understand that companies are recruiting and that you are choosing the right talent.

But have companies ever considered

that the impression you give candidates is terrible? Who would still want to work for a company like this?

In short, even if there were a second interview, I would not go back.

And the company’s work environment is truly terrible.
