The boss doesn’t want talented employees; they want servants. When you apply, they will forcefully change your job title. You apply for an engineering position and get changed to a sales assistant; you apply for a resident engineer position and get changed to a field engineer. They don’t respect professional expertise—they just want to find someone to fill a vacancy.
You have to stay late on Tuesdays and Thursdays without overtime pay. You don’t only handle work-related tasks; you may also be asked to take care of the boss’s personal matters! Employees are treated like servants.
I heard the company was inspected by the labor authorities and found to have violated many regulations, but the employer made no improvements. Instead, they pressured employees to comply, threatening to withhold bonuses otherwise. They also studied loopholes in the Labor Standards Act with several veteran employees and fabricated records.
There is no real system or structure. Supervisors do whatever they want, and internal communication is extremely poor. The sales team and engineers receive different information.
They make it sound like there will be technical training, but you learn virtually nothing. In reality, senior employees merely teach you how to handle problems encountered at work, while also having you work overtime to produce machines. They promise customers extremely short delivery times, clearly intending to make employees work overtime.
When they encounter difficult customers, they push engineers forward to deal with them, while the sales staff pass the responsibility from one person to another.
The pay is not enough to support yourself, let alone a wife. You have no time to spend with your children or friends, and end up becoming a servant with no time of your own!
