1. Employees can purchase courses and skincare products at the employee discount.
2. The workplace is close to an MRT station.
Other than that, there are no advantages.
I urge job seekers considering joining this company to think twice, and then think twice again. I guarantee you will regret joining, because it is completely different from what you hear during the interview.
1. The turnover rate is extremely high. In the HR department, for example, two managers were replaced within four months.
Three secretaries were replaced within three months.
In the marketing department, 30–40 employees have left in the past two years, and in nearly ten years, no manager has stayed for more than a year.
2. The company has no systems or procedures to speak of; everything depends entirely on the boss’s mood. The boss is also highly emotional and unpredictable.
3. The boss changes directives from one day to the next, making it difficult to set goals. There are new ideas every day.
4. Endless, inefficient meetings—especially since the boss likes to come into the office after noon and then call people into meetings at four or five in the afternoon.
5. Activities can be expanded overnight from a budget of NT$200,000 to NT$1 million, but the boss then backs down after the budget is produced, resulting in a great deal of wasted work.
6. One person is expected to do the work of five. Compared with the interview, the responsibilities assigned are roughly three times greater.
7. Employees who work overtime to the point of neglecting their families are often praised, and considered highly responsible and admirable.
8. Target sales figures are set as if haggling at a marketplace.
9. The boss often says how good the company is to its employees, yet does not realize that people actually hope he will not come into the office, because that just leads to another round of endless meetings.
10. There are many relatives and people with personal connections inside the company.
