(Is not signing a contract when discussing salary nowadays considered an advantage?)
1. For the marketing position, the interview was conducted by an employee from the same department because the department has no marketing manager; marketing is managed directly by the owner. Upon joining the interview, you are required to fill out a detailed personnel information form, including the responsibilities and monthly and annual salaries for every previous job. Once completed, it is shown directly to your colleagues in the same department, allowing everyone to see it at a glance. If you want your future colleagues to know your past and expected salary, feel free to come for an interview!
2. After speaking with the colleague, I then spoke with the HR manager. However, we did not have an in-depth discussion about career development, and the salary structure was explained ambiguously. They also did not believe there were clear KPIs that could identify the results brought by marketing, repeatedly hinting that the marketing department is managed under the owner. Therefore, interpersonal relationships are more important than getting things done in this position, and the final salary must also be decided by the owner.
3. Finally, I met the owner, who really seemed to talk with his eyes closed. After explaining the work responsibilities he expected, he said that if I was interested in the job, I should write a proposal for him, and that salary would be discussed after he reviewed the proposal.
