If there were any pros, why the hell would I be here complaining?
Setting aside my coworkers' professionalism, stupidity, and rookie-ness, we were left at the mercy of clients,
and on top of that, the manager was incompetent and would even sow discord among coworkers behind their backs....
I worked there for over a year and a half without a salary adjustment, which would have been bad enough, but the workload and number of proposals were also extremely heavy,
so I often had to work overtime. Even leaving work on time would get me talked about.
What’s outrageous is that there was no overtime pay and no missed-meal allowance, and I would even get mocked for taking leave.... To top it off, seniority was calculated in two-year increments.
.
I also never expected that the cost of the company trip would not have to be paid only after reaching the so-called two years of seniority.
Even more outrageous, the policy was later secretly changed by the manager to:
.
"The fee calculation starts from the date you return from the trip and runs for two years; it does not start from your hire date."
"The fee calculation starts from the date you return from the trip and runs for two years; it does not start from your hire date."
"The fee calculation starts from the date you return from the trip and runs for two years; it does not start from your hire date."
.
Unfortunately, I joined in January and only went to Japan at the end of the year... The original cost was NT$48,000 per person. Under this outrageous rule, quitting would mean paying back more than half of the travel expenses—nearly NT$40,000—according to the prorated calculation!! Only after arguing for it did they reluctantly let me keep the remaining 25%, making it look as though I were some kind of debt collector?!
WTF!
Working and working overtime were basically just suffering for nothing......
The manager actually told me: "You can say that this way of tying employees down is despicable, if you want."
.
One day, there was also a typhoon day off, but I was still called back to the company to work overtime because there supposedly wasn’t much wind or rain at the company anymore, so they asked me to come in.
But it was still windy and raining heavily outside my home! I’m sorry, but this wasn’t paid either.
.
Later, I also learned about some very low-level petty tricks, which I won’t go into any further...
All of the above makes me feel deeply sorry for the employees who remain at this company and have not yet resigned.
Wishing the company booming business and an abundance of talent.
