I worked under him for six years.

I went from someone who was not very good at programming

to someone who achieved a modest level of success.

My impression is that

many times, it is the person working under him who thinks they are very professional.

But in reality, their perspective is not broad enough.

Over the years, I have seen many examples.

He does not require a culture of flattery, either.

As long as you can convince him, he will listen to you. Rather than insisting that your own opinion is unquestionably correct.

If you are willing to try, he will be willing to give you opportunities and let you try all sorts of things.

Also, whenever I had questions about the company's direction, I would ask him directly why he wanted to take that direction. Based on my experience at the time, he was willing to spend time explaining it to you.

As for saying that he does not understand programming, all I can say is that it is true he has not written code for many years, but he understands the underlying logic and concepts very well.

Although working under him was very demanding, the experience he gave me enabled me to find a job in Tainan paying NT$80,000 a month—and I get to sleep until I naturally wake up.

If you ask me why I left, I was single when I started working with him. During the final few years, I married my wife, and she threatened to divorce me unless I moved back to Tainan.

Sometimes the general manager can be a bit emotional.

But he admits his mistakes, and I have experienced that firsthand.
