Pros

1. The company’s rank-and-file colleagues get along well. After all, we all have a common enemy, so we can talk shit together. Other than that, there’s probably nothing else.

Cons

1. Upper management always lives in its own parallel universe. Either they think the company isn’t short of that little bit of money, and that paying you a meager salary to come work for them makes them the savior of your life, when in reality they fail to pay or underpay all kinds of fees and pay salaries late, while focusing on a pile of meaningless trivialities.

Or they think the company is amazing and can do anything others can do. In reality, there’s no equipment when equipment is needed and no budget when a budget is needed. They use the phrase “let’s all weather these difficult times together” to steamroll every proposal from their subordinates, genuinely believing they can make videos with the desired production quality out of a pile of scrap metal.

Or they just want to come to the company to sleep. Other than sleeping, eating snacks, and playing the mobile game Ragnarok Online, don’t come to me about anything else. If subordinates have problems, go to other members of upper management; if the boss has problems, go to rank-and-file employees. They only bother to lecture us a little and make their presence felt when they start yelling.

2.

Basically, whenever something can only be handled by upper management, you probably have two options: first, wait; second, take on more and more other matters and pile them onto upper management until everything explodes together. Have you ever played Bomberman? The more bombs you place, the larger the range, and you still have nowhere to hide. In the end, your conscience will make it impossible to explain things to the client. You won’t bring in any business, and you’ll still be “encouraged” by upper management—read: mocked—to keep working hard because you didn’t land any projects this month. Please, can you at least give me the complete materials first? And even if you get them at the last moment, you have to face a battle between heaven and humanity: if you don’t send them out, you can’t account for yourself, but if you do, you’re basically killing your conscience, because the placement data you received is even more fake than the fabricated data made by soldiers during military service. You can’t even convince yourself—how are you supposed to convince the vendor? How are you going to bring in business afterward?

3. Do you know what a pyramid scheme is? If not, you should know now. Senior management will constantly encourage you, making you think they’re on the same side as you, but in reality, they’re probably just watching to see how long you, with nothing, can hold out under this rotten system. You left? Great—now they can find someone else to deceive.
