The turnover rate is extremely high. If you go to an interview, you’ll be hired.
1. The Labor Standards Act is only for reference. They have their own version of the “Labor Standards Act.”
Example: If you take leave on a holiday, they deduct three days’ pay (whether you’re sick, having a baby, attending a relative or friend’s wedding, etc.—you’re simply out of luck, while the boss profits).
They do not provide the legally required number of days off per month.
In the first year, annual leave is limited to three days; in the second year, it is still only three days…
If you take more than eight and a half days off in a month (including your regular monthly days off), they calculate that month’s wages by the day (you are paid only for the number of days actually worked).
When there are many customers, you have to work overtime; when there are no customers, they tell you to go home.
Overtime has to be recorded separately, supposedly to prevent an inspection by the labor bureau. Overtime is compensated with time off on a one-for-one basis.
The benefits listed on 1111 are just for show: birthday benefits, trips, staff gatherings, bonuses…
Overall, this is a stingy restaurant with no benefits system.
If you cannot find a job anywhere else, you can try working here temporarily—but you probably won’t stay long.
