1. Basically, new-hire training is a joke. Most people are very busy and may not have time to teach you, so you need good luck to be assigned a good mentor
2. The workload is heavy and staffing is insufficient; the team is always short-staffed, creating a vicious cycle
3. The job frequently requires going out. The duties are more like fieldwork—more freedom, but also more tiring
4. Supervisors will hint that you should come to work during typhoons, and take personal leave instead of sick leave when you are ill
5. New regulations from upper management result in additional workloads
6. Most tasks require teamwork. Either you cause trouble for others, or others cause trouble for you
7. Overtime hours are shared across the department, with a limit of 2 or 4 hours per day
8. This job requires high sensitivity, accuracy, attention to detail, and patience; otherwise, it is easy to make mistakes. It tests how you clean up the mess afterward
9. The quality of some of the people involved is concerning
10. The pressure to close cases and meet KPIs can easily lead to complaints and paying out poor settlements
11. Requires strong emotional-control skills when dealing with supervisors and customers
