The job duties are categorized in fairly good detail
The website stated a monthly salary, but during the interview they said it was actually a daily-wage system. If you do not work a full 22 days in a month, the pay is much lower than the minimum hourly wage.
In other words, Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays are deducted, and the pay is calculated based on the actual number of days worked.
I later checked the relevant regulations and discovered that this practice is completely illegal.
A daily-wage system is a daily-wage system, and a monthly-salary system is a monthly-salary system. There is no such thing as advertising a monthly salary but switching to a daily or hourly wage.
Job seekers, do not be fooled.
The monthly salary should be exactly the amount stated. For example, if you agree on a monthly salary of NT$30,000 during the interview (with labor and health insurance calculated separately), then you should receive NT$30,000 as long as you are not late, leave early, or take leave. If an employer offers a monthly salary but tells you that Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays are unpaid and only the actual days worked are counted, that is completely illegal.
