Initially, someone called to invite me to an interview and mentioned during the call that they would send a confirmation email. Three days before the scheduled date, I still hadn’t received it. When I called back, the automated voice message told me to dial an extension directly. The person who had called me initially hadn’t said anything about this, so I couldn’t find any point of contact, and there was no relevant phone number online either. On the day, I arrived at the agreed time and was asked to sit inside for a while—about half an hour. A colleague who identified himself as someone involved in recruiting for the position I had applied for came in and explained that the person who had arranged the interview with me had suddenly had something come up..., so he would interview me first. At the end, he also said they would contact me again, but I never heard anything further. From beginning to end, this company seemed not to know who had arranged my interview or even that I was coming for one. I was completely dumbfounded.
