The office is very spacious, and the dog is adorable.

1. The turnover rate is terrifyingly high. Management often plays petty games, and basically, if they don’t like you, you’re immediately shown the door. Moreover, many of the reasons for disliking someone are based on appearance. They discuss whether an employee’s looks suit the brand when deciding whether to keep them, rather than considering their work attitude. Didn’t they look at the person’s appearance during the interview? The criticism afterward is truly incomprehensible.

2. Regarding management’s petty tactics, they include spreading employees’ salaries to others to demonstrate how well that employee is supposedly treated. In fact, the salary originally agreed upon did not mention that it included NT$3,000 as an attendance bonus. If you clock in late twice (even being one minute late counts as tardiness), you don’t receive it. It was only upon leaving the company that I discovered the salary initially quoted had to be reduced by NT$3,000 to arrive at the actual base salary.

3. There are many privileged employees who can get away with not working or arriving at the office only after noon. As long as they direct new employees, it’s fine. Yet it’s hard to see what special abilities they have, while the bosses turn a blind eye to them.

4. There is no overtime pay. There are many sudden assignments, tasks, and holiday shifts. Someone once asked for overtime pay, and the boss said, “Then we’ll just pay you the minimum basic wage in accordance with the Labor Standards Act. Do you want that?”

5. The company likes to imitate major women’s clothing brands, copying their products and styles in an attempt to replicate their successful experiences. However, internal management is poor, and the product and marketing departments are completely disconnected, resulting in products that are neither one thing nor the other.

6. The employee benefit supposedly provided is a coffee machine, but for more than half of most months there are no coffee beans. Very humorous.

7. Basically, no matter how hard you work, if you’re not a trusted favorite, you can be cut at any time without warning. Always be mentally prepared.
