Not much of an advantage
Application date: February 2019
Position applied for: Front-End Application Engineer
Some time after the interview, HR called to inform me that I had been hired and also told me that my start date would be in March.
Because I was still employed, I told them that I would wait until they gave me the formal OFFER the following week before taking any further action.
At least I would have documentation as proof.
But then yesterday, I received a rejection email........
I called today, and the response came from an HR deputy manager: He said that I had been blocked by the general manager, so I was ultimately not hired.
In any case, whether it was the general manager who blocked it or some other reason, it no longer matters.
If I had resigned from my current company today because I was verbally told that I had been hired, wouldn't I have ended up with nothing on either side?
It's already a large company, yet they still made this kind of mistake. This is very serious....
So I advise everyone not to put too much faith in verbal notifications.
This behavior was quite unacceptable, so I'm submitting a negative review. I hope everyone can learn from this.
