Seriously reviewed the interviewee’s information and portfolio.
1. The interviewer wanted to learn more about the interviewee through their interests, but the conversation became increasingly off track, leaving less time to discuss work details, collaboration, scheduling, and so on.
2. When asked when the result would be communicated, the interviewer said they would discuss it with the supervisor and let the interviewee know. However, there was never a follow-up email—or, more precisely, they did not clearly state that no notification within a week would mean the interviewee had not been selected. It is understandable that a company may decide someone is not suitable, but once an interview has been arranged, this is no longer the application-review stage, where a response may not necessarily be provided. Failing to do so showed a lack of respect for the interviewee.
