1. The company is a family business and uses multiple companies under different names to circumvent the Labor Insurance and Employment Insurance requirements (even though it clearly has more than 30 employees). Labor and health insurance must be obtained through a labor union, so there is no labor pension, let alone annual leave or similar benefits. They use “honorary leave” as a substitute, but it is much less than annual leave and has many restrictions.

2. Performance bonuses are paid two months late, and they will not be paid after resignation. A former employee caused a dispute over this, so the contract was changed to state that the bonuses would no longer be paid. (If you really want to claim them, be sure to prepare evidence—this is illegal.)

3. Employees often do not stay long, so turnover is high. Staff therefore need to be trained repeatedly, and the applicants at interviews are also often of widely varying quality... The owner expands stores very quickly, so there are never enough people to fill the positions.

4. There are eight days off per month, but when a colleague takes leave, you have to work 12 hours. Taking consecutive days off means working consecutive days... Of course, this does not count as overtime.
