Pros

Good relationships with colleagues

Cons

The following fictional account was dreamed up. Any resemblance to actual persons or events is purely coincidental.

In this dream, the company treats designers as disposable tools, throwing them away once a project is finished and their usefulness is exhausted. On some occasions when coordination should originally be handled by the business team and the client, a certain vice general manager of the business department in the dream would even rudely order designers to communicate with clients in English.

The head of the design department in the dream was also very spineless, remaining silently passive whenever they should have stood up for the designers. Please also note that when you take bereavement leave in the dream, a certain vice general manager of the business department will say that your leave has caused the project schedule to be delayed, and the head of the design department may even ask whether taking leave is necessary. The work handed over to the head of the design department when taking bereavement leave will also result in them calling during the memorial ceremony on the seventh day after the death to say that they cannot draw, so you have to work overtime the next day to handle the project. In the dream, someone had already become a design director yet could not draw CAD plans and still left subordinates to finish the work. What else can be said about such an irresponsible attitude?

At the year-end banquet in the dream, a certain vice general manager of the business department was extremely rude to the company’s top boss, saying, “Help me keep the design department in line.” There was not the slightest sign of respect for the designers. Such exaggerated words and actions, along with their one-party dominance, were compounded by the fact that they foolishly could not even understand or accommodate the different functions of AutoCAD and Photoshop.

In the dream, the company would also have employees sign formal employment contracts after their probationary periods ended, and only after the contracts were signed would it inform them that the probationary period had been extended. In the dream, when I asked the head of the design department and the general manager for a written explanation of the reason and duration of the extension, I never received a follow-up and was directly dismissed. They even told me that having experience in exhibition design looks bad compared with experience in interior design. It was impossible to understand what kind of nonsense they were talking about. When requesting a certificate of involuntary separation during the dismissal in the dream, there were also many difficulties, and they kept hoping that you would simply sign a voluntary resignation certificate.

I woke up from the dream, having dreamed of so many things that were difficult to process. Fortunately, it was only a dream—not something that really happened—just a fictional account, purely imaginary.
