禾榮茂股份有限公司
Pros

Really impressive. At first, they make grand promises, emphasizing the need for learning ability, execution ability, and so on.

They say the company makes money through differentiation, and expect you to think about how to differentiate yourself from mainland Chinese workers when you join.

There is a mid-year bonus; on average, each person can receive NT$30,000.

There are no plane tickets—not because they refuse to provide them, but because providing them would be troublesome. However, there is a company shuttle service.

Food and accommodation are provided, as well as a laundry lady. You get a computer, internet access, and a free SIM card.

They believe the boss should shoulder everything alone, without any bullshit about “going through tough times together with the company.”

Employees all receive the same amount every month, while the boss has to bear the risks and face the successes and failures.

Annual revenue is NT$200 million.

After one year of employment, you receive 15 months’ worth of salary, with an annual salary increase of 10%–20%.

Cons

Fifteen months’ salary per year; with an annual salary of 80,000, that comes to NT$5,333 per month.

To comply with local labor laws, 20% is deducted during the first three months, and the 20% is returned during the fourth to sixth months as a post-probation bonus.

That means the salary is NT$4,266 for the first three months, and NT$6,400 for the fourth to sixth months.

They encourage young people with dreams to give it a try. When coming to China, don’t look at the salary—look at the opportunities for development.
