Pros
1. In the R&D department, compared with typical Taiwanese companies, the starting salary for fresh graduates is slightly higher than elsewhere, but there is no overtime pay, while you are still expected to work overtime constantly. Therefore, the salary’s cost-performance ratio is no better than at a system manufacturer. Unless you are very good at pushing work onto others. The working hours are naturally shorter, and then the cost-performance ratio is higher.
2. There are no other advantages.
1. The systems are very chaotic, and departmental responsibilities are unclear. They keep changing things back and forth. The bosses at the top only want tasks completed, but do not care who completes them—so whoever cannot push work onto others is the one who suffers. Bad money drives out good money, and the culture is getting worse and worse.
2. The company has a serious culture of overtime and shirking responsibility. Capable people do not stay for long; you can imagine what remains. Over time, most of the people are jerks who push their work onto others, and people with less than three years of experience. If you want to work with a lot of idiots, welcome here.
3. The company is still in the Stone Age, using paper-based routing and signatures for 99% of its documents. It is such a useless company that it does not even have a system. The MIS staff leave work on time every day, which is practically miraculous.
4. The restaurant food is awful.
