All my colleagues are crazy
Easy to get along with
If we’re overwhelmed, there are alternative arrangements
We still get together for meals and chats even after leaving the company
The downside...
I guess it’s probably Taichung’s department-store industry’s
“Pagoda of Ningguta”!!
Here’s a bit of background on “Ningguta”
Ningguta was frozen over year-round. Wang Jiazhen’s *Miscellaneous Records of Things Seen and Heard in the Yantang Studio* states: “Ningguta is in the far north of Liaodong, seven or eight thousand li from the capital. The land is covered in thick ice and snow year-round; it is no longer part of the civilized world, and no one from China ever reaches it.” In a letter to his mother, Wu Zhaoqian wrote: “Ningguta’s bitter cold is unlike anywhere else in the world. From the beginning of spring until mid-April, gale-force winds roar like thunder and flash like lightning, making it impossible to see even a few feet ahead. From May through July, overcast rain continues without respite. By mid-August, heavy snow begins to fall, and by early September, the rivers are completely frozen. The moment the snow reaches the ground, it turns into solid ice; as far as the eye can see for a thousand li, everything is an endless expanse of white snow.” Fang Gongqian once said: “People speak of the road to the underworld, but if you make it to Ningguta, even ten underworlds would be nothing to fear!”
I guess only people who have been exiled
would stay here for a long time,
bound by the high salary~~
