I was informed in early December that I had passed the interview, and I had submitted all the onboarding documents long ago. The company had also notified me of my start date. However, three days before I was due to start, I suddenly received a call saying that the supervisor who had helped process my onboarding documents had already left the company and had not handed the documents over to the HR department, so HR had no idea that I had been hired!? They even asked me to provide proof myself that I had been hired!??

I had backups of all the emails exchanged with my previous supervisor. After I forwarded them to the company's HR department as proof, they only replied, “Because business is busy before the Lunar New Year, we are not currently hiring for this position.” They did not even call me, nor did they acknowledge that this was the result of a failure in the company's internal handover. They simply and hastily told me not to come to work!!

I had known since early December that I had been hired, but was later told that because there were many procedures to complete for new employees, I would have to wait until January 7 to onboard. During this period, I turned down other job opportunities one after another, only to end up with this speechless result!

I am truly grateful that I ultimately did not work for this company. I sincerely feel sorry for the employees of this company!
