Honestly, none. See the cons for details.
I’m sharing my experience working here to help prevent more unsuspecting newcomers from being trampled. I’ll try to state the facts objectively and without negative emotion; please forgive any parts that may seem overly exaggerated.
First, understand the organizational structure:
1. This is a small company run by a family. Given that it has been established for 20 years, it isn’t exactly small, but this is as far as it goes, and there is no intention of expanding the business. (Speculation: After all, with the current business model, they’ve earned enough from their assets—why expand?)
2. As mentioned above, this company has no intention of cultivating talent, nor does it have a smooth promotion system. As a result, training is extremely poor. Since family members manage the company, there are often no proper systems at all; policies change from one day to the next, and there are many inexplicably inhumane rules.
3. The boss may run a surveillance-camera factory as a side business—there are cameras installed throughout the entire company. I don’t know whether they’re afraid things will be stolen, can’t find people, or are simply terrified that employees will slack off at work. My feeling is: it’s like the White Terror period—the boss doesn’t trust you, and your work is monitored. (It’s just like the tenants downstairs... creepy...)
4. The Inspection Department is the company’s most terrifying centralized dictatorship. Newcomers hoping to join, take note! The head of the Inspection Department speaks even more loudly than the boss, but he is the boss’s trusted confidant, so whatever you do, don’t offend him. Otherwise, you’ll suffer the consequences!
5. As mentioned above, there are several common situations in which you might offend a supervisor (in a typical company): first, you work inefficiently and frequently make mistakes; second, you are rude and disrespectful toward your supervisor; third, you often slack off at work and are difficult to manage. In these three respects, this supervisor is like supervisors you might encounter at other companies. However, his patience is extremely limited: if he has to teach you twice and you still don’t understand, he will start thinking you’re stupid; by the third time, he will start yelling and cursing at you. He is the boss’s “problem detector” and “problem creator.”
6. As mentioned above, the fourth reason you might offend him is: no one knows!! Maybe he simply dislikes the sight of you! This is the most terrifying part, because you will never know when you have accumulated enough factors to make him dislike you. Then, all of a sudden, he will start making an issue out of nothing and spend every workday watching the surveillance cameras to see what you’re doing... Congratulations if you get targeted.... If you like being watched, you can make sure to do everything perfectly, without a single mistake, and perhaps he will stop watching you. But if you make even one small mistake during that period... then wait to be summoned by the boss and wait for your supervisor to give you “training”!
7. What kind of people is this company suited for? You need to be hardworking and able to work overtime without overtime pay or complaining. Ideally, you should be able to eat grass and run fast, become capable of carrying out tasks independently within a month, be willing to ask questions about any problem, never make mistakes, ideally get everything right the first time, be able to draw inferences from one example, read people and situations, and preferably have a sweet tongue.
8. In summary: If you hold lofty ideals about inspection, don’t come here.///If you want to make money, you could consider it, but basically the current salary-increase system isn’t very good, so I advise you to look elsewhere.////If you want to accumulate work experience, but don’t have the traits described in point 7 above, you may not even last a month before urgently wanting to leave~
That’s all. If there’s anything else I didn’t mention, please help add to it~
