People who curry favor and suck up can work overtime and go out to eat, and can also take more leave hours than the company regulations allow. The clueless people who play dumb and pretend not to understand don’t have to do miscellaneous tasks, while the smart ones have to take on a whole pile of them—and if they don’t do them well, they still get lectured.

Supervisors even ask people on the day shift to work overtime to check whether their own colleagues on the night shift have any problems. It feels awful.

The quality assurance practices in this department are really [expletive]; the rules keep changing. What those below say isn’t allowed, those above say is allowed. The audits have also gone way too far, losing the meaning and purpose the unit itself should have.

The benefits here are fairly good, but genuinely talented people are often overlooked. What a pity…
