2. There are tons of downsides.

1. The company's base salary is NT$25,000. There is a commission, but it is practically the same as having none. For example, if the threshold is NT$200,000 and you make NT$250,000, they deduct the NT$200,000 first, and then calculate the remaining NT$50,000 at something like 0.005*. The probationary period is super long—you can only earn this lousy bonus after passing it.

(This was the situation in November 2018; I don't know whether it was changed later. Don't worry, it will definitely keep getting… hehe.)

2. There are an absurd number of miscellaneous tasks—way too many! They make simple things unnecessarily complicated, and you may even be called back after work to pick up or transport things.

3. The turnover rate is unbelievably high—on average, about one person leaves every two months. They tell you about lots of benefits, but you can see them without ever actually getting to enjoy them.

4. The veteran employees are all rather cold and act like old hands. Their attitude is basically, “You won't last long anyway; there are always more newcomers.” (After all, the turnover rate is so…)

5. Possibly to avoid paying severance, they may use every possible method to pressure you into quitting on your own.

6. The main point: the supervisor is freaking terrible.

The manager of one particular store is an extremely awful person with a strong desire for control. If you have annual leave or other entitlements, she may find all kinds of reasons to stop you from claiming them. What's frightening is that she also calls you every now and then to “check on you,” openly rolling her eyes and making snide remarks about employees, while privately joining the veteran employees in _ _ (use your imagination).

7. Friends considering working at Tian Yuan Hsiang, please think it through carefully. Don't waste your time.

Even if jobs are hard to find, don't step on a landmine.

8. Whether Tian Yuan Hsiang's products are good is a matter of personal opinion.
