A few points to add:

1. I believe the labor insurance issue has not been completely resolved. The boss has continued to take a passive attitude toward this matter. However, problems with such basic matters as labor and health insurance can affect employees’ trust in the company.

2. It is understandable that the company does not have clear goals, and it is also understandable that the boss keeps trying different approaches. However, this makes it very difficult for the employees below to do their work. Constantly changing directions and lacking a stable, consistent operational strategy is not so much about making employees feel challenged and bringing out their potential as it is about frequently having them do work in vain, along with the boss’s experimental but short-sighted ideals.

While working, it often feels as though the boss impulsively demands results and proposes strategic directions that they believe are good, without actually analyzing the reasons behind the company’s difficulties or making improvements through review. As a result, there is often a gap between the employees and the boss. As in a conventional company, employees merely satisfy the boss’s requirements, rather than having the discussion, exchange of ideas, and atmosphere of working together toward a common goal that a startup should have. Nor is there the autonomy, freedom, or positive meaning mentioned above.

3. Opinions about the office atmosphere vary from person to person. Regarding office politics, those who feel targeted may think it exists, while those who feel fine or have not encountered it may think it does not. I will not comment on this; every company experiences this to some extent. This company may not have obvious backstabbers, but that does not mean there are no covert attempts to undermine others.

Because startups have few employees at the outset, the work atmosphere can easily be magnified. All I can say is that interaction among everyone is not very warm; people mostly do their own thing, and there is a lack of effective, practical communication.
