Colleagues have close relationships and share a sense of solidarity, so they are all tolerant, considerate, and willing to help one another (this only applies among colleagues; the bosses are not included).
What the bosses are best at is saying one thing and doing another. The opinions they often express publicly are completely different from the policies they implement internally.
This is a company where staying for a long time will not bring you much value (stay for a little over a year to spruce up your résumé, then move to another company; at the very least, your salary will match your contributions). Don’t believe the bosses’ talk about bonuses, profit sharing, or international operations—whatever it may be.
Don’t use any newly learned tools at this company, because using tools that differ from everyone else’s will only result in the boss seeing an interface they have never encountered and deciding that you are different from everyone else, which must mean you are slacking off at work. Get ready to be chewed out over some completely nonsensical reason.
