Working hours are 9:00–18:00, with a one-and-a-half-hour lunch break.
The company has moved to Section 1, Civic Boulevard, Datong District. The female company owner is in her seventies and often travels for work; when she is in the office, she almost never stops talking and nagging. There is no overtime pay, no detailed salary statement, and the amount deducted is determined entirely by the other party. Labor insurance is reported at the minimum wage level. The rules state that annual leave can only be taken all at once and cannot be split up, so if you have seven days of annual leave, you can only schedule days 1–7 (yes, two of those days overlap with the weekend, and they will not allow you to split up your leave).
There are many practices that do not comply with the Labor Standards Act. If you take sick leave, you must provide a doctor’s certificate from a public hospital for the leave to be approved. However, sick leave cannot be taken during the three-month probationary period, so your full salary is deducted. The salary deduction for leave is calculated as follows: assuming a salary of NT$26,000 and 21 working days in the month, NT$26,000 ÷ 21 = NT$1,238 per day—not ÷ 30.
The owner verbally claims that things are for your own good, but in reality, she does not show consideration for employees.
The working atmosphere is poor, and the office is stuffy and inadequately ventilated. Anyone considering working for this company should think twice.
