Pros

The company is very clean, and the view from the window is great—you can see the track and field stadium.

Cons

The company works with Taian Clinic at Taian Hospital to promote health checkup services. The boss is a woman, and I felt that she was not very polite when speaking. I joined as a sales representative. The company said we got off work at 6 p.m., but later the company moved, possibly because the rent was higher. One day during a meeting, the boss said, “What sales representative gets off work exactly at 6 p.m.? Are you so free because you have nothing to do? How are you supposed to achieve your targets this way?” From then on, I didn’t dare leave exactly at 6 p.m. Even when there was nothing to do, I had to wait until 6:30 or until a supervisor started leaving before I dared pack up. It was very painful....

As for sales, you couldn’t approach the clients of veteran sales staff, the clients at Taian Hospital, or the clients of the two female bosses. You also had to explain the differences to clients. Since you couldn’t approach those clients, the longer you stayed, the more likely you were to establish a stable position. Although the boss said there was a system in place to help everyone avoid duplicate-client issues, I ended up being assigned to visit the same clients as a veteran employee. The client might not even have realized that they had made two appointments, so the supervisor told me to hand the case directly to the veteran employee, saying, “You have to leave some room for others. You just started and don’t have sales pressure yet, while she does, so give it to her....” A case that originally had potential was simply handed over like that.... New employees not only had to pick up what was left over, but also had to consider the situation of the veteran employees.... In sales, the first few months are basically about laying the groundwork. Producing results right away really requires some luck.... You had to exceed the basic quota of NT$300,000 before you could receive the 3% commission. If you didn’t meet it, the meetings became very “interesting”...... The original supervisor was a good person, but after being replaced by another one, I started being mocked and nitpicked. Several times, they complained that the cases were too small and didn’t even want to accompany me on visits.... The pressure was really overwhelming.... I eventually decided to resign.....
